Pulp Egypt (3)

Firstly if You read one or more of Pulp Egypt Adventures, You know that one of the handouts is The Egyptian Gazette. I do not want to translate it to Polish for the game and make another paper prep,  but I've decided to create it radio information program. With the use of Audacity and Freesound page, I've created a retro radio vibe for news from 1935. At the beginning of every new scenario, we listen to this news for about 3 to 5 minutes. It was something new in our games. Not only listening gives an opportunity for pieces of information to be acquired but also to immerse in-game and setting.
Another very important piece of this campaign were NPCs. Because for one player You have to create many diverse but also memorable Non-Player Characters. So I took characters from Hartwell Colledge Expedition and using Pulp Cthulhu rules I've given them stats and using Google-Foo - faces. Here they are:

When You have NPC ready, time for adversaries. I blend information from Astounding Adventures for BRP with Pulp Cthulhu and created this little booklet.

That is for now. But we not close the Pulp Egypt subject yet...

Pulp Egypt (2)

After I decided to make a little campaign from Pulp Egypt adventures, first I read them all. One thing that strikes me instantly was the number of historical cars, planes, and tanks that the author put in these scenarios as means for players (in my situation player) to make use of them. A quick search on the net showed me all these great machines, but if the game is in 1920 or 1930 I do not like to use a computer or other new tech in showing things. So I decided to make a couple of "period photos". Here You got them all:

Nothing big, but very informative. I took the same approach to maps. So I create an aged paper and print on these sheets all the maps form adventures. Here are the maps:

Doing so I create a more immersive experience for my wife. But this is not enough yet. Stay tuned!

Pulp Egypt (1)

Long-time no see here! But Our table is busy as never before! Since July all through October, we delve in one of the best Pulp settings out there! I was looking for something to be a little different than standard Pulp Cthulhu scenarios. I roam the web for inspiration and find one in super deep pulp book Pulp Egypt by Griffon Publishing Studio. After couple of other searches, I found PWYW adventures. I cannot highly recommend this adventures. They create some sort of campaign, but let's not jump ahead!
My wife wanted to play her character from Masks of Nyarlathotep, so I've decided to push time in this game world 10 years into the future. So Mike Pawlowsky (her PC) was in NY. First I've decided to use free adventure from Chaosium - Murder in the Footlights as a catalyst for Mike to move from NY to Cairo. Then I've started chronologically adventures from Pulp Egypt. But this is a story for another time...
